13th SDEWES conference held on the beautiful Italian island Sicily, in Palermo from September 30 - October 4, 2018, is now behind us. It has brought together 400 scientists, researchers, and experts in the field of sustainable development from around 50 countries. We have listened to 330 presentations, seen 80 poster presentations, attended 9 special sessions and one special event, and also had the pleasure of listening to three invited lectures and two panels with some of the most distinguished experts in the field.

Next year, SDEWES is going back to Dubrovnik, Croatia, October 1 - 5, 2019, as traditionally it is organized every two years in the jewel of the Adriatic sea, the city of Dubrovnik.
